Pontiac Firebird VS. Ford Focus?

So this kid thinks that his standard 2007 Ford Focus Station Wagon can beat my 2001 3.8 200 HP Pontiac Firebird just because his weighs less. His Horse Power is only 136 and if you compare it mine, I have 200. His car is standard also, he hasn't any upgrades yet neither does mine. Do you think I am right and what other reasons could I use in my defense? Thanks

Car for Car your worn out 01 3800 is only getting 168 to 178 hp to the ground. Get it dyno'd check it out for yourself. You most likely don't have it strip ready. And carbon build up in your throttle system is robbing your fuel and performance.

Next 07 Focus Wagon is Powered by the Mazda motor (M3) most have it listed as 134 to 138 HP ... It puts down average of 155 hp down with automatic. Also when it has a 3:64 final drive (limmited slip) or better it will hook better of the line and if your doing a full real 1/4 mile, he will get you off the line and you will catch him in 2 nd gear but you won't pass him he will start to pull away at a 1000 feet shifting into 4th gear (if he can handle it) and he will beat you by 1 to 1 1/2 cars in the 1/4 mile.

So racing him is the only way to find out who will win !.

Guessing that your heavier car has more power ? Don't guess tune it up and get it street strip ready for every day driving...
