is it safe to use any pantyhose or disposable socks for woman at a shoe store to cover my filter, so fry dont?

i have a bubble wall so should i turn that off also and please explain why not

Sometimes pantyhose and socks have dyes in them that can be harmful to the fish. I would not chance it, if I were you.
The best solution is to cover the intake with a sponge that is made for that very purpose. You could also buy a fish net, cut the net part off the wire frame and rubber band it (or silicone it on permanently) around the intake tube end.
It is not necessary to turn off your bubble wall. Fry will not be damaged by being moved around by the bubbles. They are pretty tough little guys.
I use plastic (inside the tank) box filters and regularly find fry inside the box when I clean it. I just dump them back into the tank and away they go. Fry would be chewed up if sucked into a power filter (Hang on the back - HOB) so covering the intake is the way to go.
